I think I must have gotten a draft version of this novel, as what I have cannot possibly be the finished work. In all fairness, I just could not finish the book because at 20% in, the writing is so bad, I just cannot continue. The author tells you things in the most juvenile language possible, to say nothing of the grammar issues. For example, " 'My dear you are just the person I wanted to see,' Pastor Phillips greeted her warmly. He had come into the bookstore and she was just about to tell him that her father was on the road. She had gone to church last Sunday and had not seen David; Callie had told her he had gone to a visiting church to do a performance." I know, you are thinking, this is not too bad (grammar issues are author’s not mine). The problem is that Pastor Phillips is not the David or Callie referenced in the following sentences.Another issue I have with the story is that the author spends more time on what Sara is wearing than anything else. I would love to hear more than just a riot of color when describing a greenhouse, particularly since it is the passion of the male lead. I am 20% into the story, David has kissed Sara, yet I have no idea what he really looks like. The cover and title tails me is while, but all the author has told us is that he has dark hair and tanned skin. Also, a little more tension when Sara returns to town after suddenly leaving. Yes, as Christians, we need to forgive, but there should be some tension other than just between the two characters.
I really wanted to like this book. But alas, there are just too many other books out there to continue to suffer through this one. I see the author has quite a few books out there, so I am hopeful that she now has an editor and produces a better work.

Marrying My Childhood Sweetheart A BWWM Christian Romance edition by Shannon Gardener BWWM Club Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book was a good read it was different from the others no curse words I liked it a lot thanks for this lovely book
This was ok. Couldn't be compared to His tender touch and marrying the pastor's bullionare son.
Love the book would recommend it to others wished it had a future ending to. The story was easy flowing
I can't get enough of Shannon Gardner books i read all her books in a week I so need more
This was a wonderful book about love and finding oneself. To leave because you wanted more out of your life to finding yourself back where you came from and still in love with your sweetheart and knowing that they still love you is the greatest love of all.
3.00 stars. The of the reconnection and marriage of David Graham and Sara Williams was sweet but bland. They had several sexual encounters but, there was no chemistry or romantic intimacy between the two. This story mainly deals with forgiveness and second chances which is great; but this couple had been apart for 4 years because she was looking for more and it would take time to reacquaint and become a couple again. They must have set a record because within 2 months of her return they were marrying.
This was an interesting story. Kind of cute love story. Again, I am not understanding why it is labeled Christians because true Christian Pastor or not do not practice sex outside of marriage. I liked that David was willing to give Sara a second chance because he never stopped loving her. Also he could never have another relationship with anyone because of his feelings for Sara. Sara really had some growing up to do. She left hometown because she wanted a modeling career only to find out her life was much better in her town and her church than outside of it.
I like how David and Sara rekindled their relationship and Sara's mother and father relationship indicated that it was on the mend also showing forgiveness is really important in a relationship as well as in family. Forgiveness is something you can only learn by having a relationship with God in your life.
