This is the very first book I have read by this author. If you love angel and demon stories, you will love this. This is a very very good book. It has became one of my favorite reads this year. It was intriguing, tear-jerking, adventurous, and paranormally wonderful!! I love this characters!!! I can't wait to find out who Blake really is and who touched her back?!!! It was left on a climax and dying to know. I'm fixing to go pick up Fallenmore so I can find out!!! ARGH can't wait any longer! lol. I love a book that leaves me wanting more! The writing, plot, climax, and characters are beautifully woven into this splenderific tale!!

Jade is a normal high school girl who dreams of a dark mysterious man. hee hee!! Her best friends Claire and Nate help her go unnoticed at school, except when come into contact with Amy. She is just a bully. Out of no where a young handsome boy comes named Avan to turn her whole world upside down. Somehow he triggers a different part of her body and soul after that an evil being is out to kill her. Who is it and what do they want with Jade?? Find out when you read this book!!! I give this a 5 star review!! I love it! I can't wait to read more!!

Ms. Swing is a gifted storyteller and I enjoyed being pulled inside Jade's anything-but-normal world. There is enough mystery where you're constantly trying to figure things out and some bubble gum romance that will surely sate the youthful reader. There were even a few huge surprises that I hadn't seen coming--and I really like when a book can do that. Once I was able to get over Jade acting spoiled and selfish (like most teenagers), I began to appreciate her as the lead role and applauded some of her decisions--when she was actually able to make them. Overall, I think Lucy did a great job and I would highly recommend this book for young adults of all ages.

I'm loving this book so far, but there's been some turbulence along the way. Spell check, and grammar and punctuation are important. Also it feels like we bounce around from character point of view to character point of view without a clear difinitive marker. even ........ between characters pov would help differentiate we've moved to someone elses's mind. Also I wish Jade wasn't quite SO clueless I mean, who hasn't heard of a cherub, especially in a country where Valentine's is a big deal. Anyway I know I'm going to buy book two already regardless of how this ends but those were just some thoughts I had.
I love paranormal romances. I love angel/demon stories. That said, a recommendation for FEATHERMORE piqued my interest in Jade's story. The characters were very easy to fall in love with; and I was laughing, crying, and getting angry right alongside them. I enjoyed the darker side of the story just as much; the ominous character of Lilith and the beings that lurked in the blackness and haunted Jade were perfectly crafted. I quickly needed to know more, and found myself reading whenever spare moments allowed and staying up late to answer my questions and find out what happened next. I will not reveal any details, but the ending is one that will leave your mouth gaping, jaw dropped, and you might - like me - even call out, "What?! That's it?! You can't leave it there!" Immediately, I searched for book 2 in the series so I could continue reading. I can't wait for its release as I HAVE TO KNOW what comes next for Jade and MUST HAVE answers to the questions that the ending left swirling through my mind. FEATHERMORE is well-written, captures the reader's attention from the get-go, and is a must read for fans of YA and paranormal romance.
The first thing I want to say is that Lucy Swing is a terrific writer friend to have. We met while working on the "Death by Chocolate" anthology - my first taste of Lucy's haunting writing style.

Amidst the tales of vampires and werewolves, I haven't read many stories of angels. "Feathermore" was a surprise delight. I adore the way Lucy describes the world around her. And I always appreciate dark humor "Good one, Jade. The killer librarian will beat you to death with the unabridged dictionary."

The characters and world that make up "Feathermore" are written in beautiful detail. Jade has had to undergo a tremendous amount of trauma and stress. Good thing she's come into her powers, though she is still learning to <ahem> spread her wings.
Holy hot sauce, this was a great book! I read it from start to finish in one evening. I couldn't put it down) The story was original and intriguing.

I really enjoyed the characters, Jade, Claire, Nate, Avan, even the mysterious Blake. Lilith made a great antagonist in this story. I wish I got to know more about Blake! I am so curious!!!

The book unfolded as the story progressed and it felt like a natural transition. Lucy Swing has a knack for weaving a great storyline.

The only thing I disliked in this book was all the angel talk at the end. I got a little lost, but otherwise it was a great book. I highly recommend this book to the YA/paranormal romance audience! I give it five glittery stars. *yeah*
