This series keeps getting better and I love each character more and more. I like how Reno is serious, funny, crazy overprotective of Trina and their two boys. I like that we are starting to see Grace come out of her shell (can't wait for her and Tommy's next book) and Sal......I knew he would make us like him. I like that Jimmy is starting to mature more and you see hints of Reno in his personality. It would be nice to see Fran find a love interest...maybe Lee?? All I know is that I simply enjoying reading about the adventures with the Gabrini men and the women they love!!! Keep them coming!!!!

Man its tough to be the one in charged but for Reno he takes it with a grain of salt. Reno is the rock to the Gabrinis' foundation and you just got to love the Gabrinis' love and strength in Reno to pull them through every time. Glad to see Jimmy pull through making a better relationship with Reno possible. He now has a better understanding of who his father is and why he often times make difficult decisions. Jimmy is coming around like Trina once did knowing that even an ex-mob family can't shed its stripes. The undying love, ultimate sacrifice and steadfast loyalty is what Gabrinis are made of and Grace caught a glimpse of what's to be expected of her but I'm sure she'll step up. In the end Mallory showed a family that is flawed, troubled and deeply loved but a "gift" of family is something we all could never do without. Kudos!!!!!
I feel like Dommi is a replica of his father. Reno is hot blooded in attitude and protection of his family and his Palagio. It's amazing how Reno's old flames keep trying to pursue a relationship with them and he could care less. I know it keeps it interesting. Fran is not what a nice person, she's spoiled, selfish,sneaky, lier I don't understand how they allow her to keep continue to watch their children. They are gluttons for punishment. Fran is not looking out for them. Does she even have love for her nephews?
This is my first review ever and I have to say Ms Monroe did it again! Wow!

These characters seem so real. The strength of this series lies not only in the plot lines, the twists and turns, but also in the realistic dialogue... this is how real people talk! Sometimes I literally laughed out loud.

As for the plot twist with Fran and Dommi, I had to actually stop reading, my heart pounding, hoping Ms Monroe would not go where it seemed she was going, but then she pulled another turn. I'm liking Grace better as it seems she will toughen up. I can't wait for Sal and Gemma's story but Reno remains the man! Trina is true ride or die and Jimmy is becoming a man. Time for some more babies though, Dommi should have some playmates!

My only regret is that I read this book so quickly that I'm now back to stalking Ms Monroe's website to see when the next installment will drop. I just can't wait...this series is so good!
I finally after a long time laughed out loud while reading a book; not once but multiple times. I loved it. There was high drama and lots of laughs. The romance was light this time as the focus wasn’t the relationship more the family dynamics. I also found Trina less annoying this time around than in previous installments. Definitely worth the price.
Another amazing story. I can't say enough about the series, except I'm really happy I found them ! I can't wait to see the development of the other characters relationships. Love the relationship between Jimmy and his dad, was a bit worried at first, especially after the gun bit and Reno choosing Jimmy to die. I didn't know how anyone could come back from that. Tommy is a smart fellow, what is he thinking? That he can bring an innocent woman into a relationship with the Gabrini and not prepare her for what's to come ! That marriage would not last a month, she would run for the hills. It is wonderful that she has Trina. Please keep them coming. I can't wait to read the next one, I'm downloading it now.
This latest installment picks up with Reno bonding with his son Jimmy Mack as he recovers from being shot by his father to save the life of his step-mom and step-brother. Trina is now working full time in her boutique as the family waits for the Hotel & Casino to be rebuilt. I simply love these characters. I feel Ms. Monroe captures the essence of the Italian Mobster in Reno and adore that Trina is there by his side till the end. I was excited to find that there would be another book so soon, I am already looking forward to the next installment I know something crazy is going to be going on when the casino re-opens. Although, I had some problems with the storyline, I don't like it when authors try to go back and re-write what they've already written. In book one never was there a mention that Reno had met/seen Trina before. Now in this story we are taken back 10 years and are now told they in fact crossed paths and conversed. Just don't like that, it's as if you're telling me what you wrote and I read is now invalid. I didn't like the use of the N-word. With what's going on with a certain Food Network Chef I think the use of the word in this story in my opinion was unnecessary. The opening scene with the knife-TMI. Gemma and Sal's flirting was stronger than Tommy and Grace's engagment. There are no fireworks with Tommy and Grace. And for whatever reason it keeps being emphasized how `plain/ordinary' Grace is. Ok well tell me again why I as a reader even like her for dapper Tom then? Just a few things that bothered me, otherwise still highly addicted to the Mob Boss series. Of them all it is my favorite. Can't wait for more. If you've read all of them up til now, don't stop until you've read this one.
